The Mission Appeals work has slowed down now for the Summer but Angie Escarsa and I enjoyed very much our time in the Dublin South City, speaking in the churches and visiting the local schools. We were warmly welcomed to each place and met with many long time supporters and subscribers to our magazine, The Far East, as well as welcoming many new subscribers. We were humbled by the generosity of the people in each parish and their continued commitment to supporting the work of overseas mission and Columban mission in particular. We look forward to finishing up our work in a couple of parishes in September. The other members of the Mission Promotion Team will finish up their work in the Diocese of Down and Connor after the Summer break.
